    Jamie Flynn’s “The Power of Yoga and Meditation” has been a great way to get acquainted to the practice of yoga. It’s informative, easy to read, and a great for anyone looking to become more knowledgable on the subject. Having read the ebook, I’ve gone from knowing virtually nothing about yoga (other than it involves a lot of breathing) to having a wide variety of knowledge on elementary yoga. Flynn’s ebook starts out with a brief description of yoga and meditations and gives a short but informative history behind what has been a popular form of physical and spiritual exercise since Patanjali’s wrote his sutra texts in the 2nd century BC. She then dives into everything from the benefits of yoga for our bodies’ chemical makeup to how to make a decision between practicing at home or in a studio.

    What I have found most valuable about the book is her walking me through the basic principles and practice of yoga. I now know a lot of the basic types of poses and I won’t be intimidated when I go to a yoga class for the first time.

    As a health conscious individual and exercise enthusiast, I found this book to be tremendously helpful. It was great to see how easy it is to incorporate these calming rituals into my exercise routine with little cost to start and few requirements in terms of equipment. I enjoyed learning about each of the benefits one can come to realize through the practice of yoga and meditation, and realized even working in a small bit of time to practice these routines will impart great benefits into my life. I will definitely refer back often to this manual frequently to review these concepts.

    This was supposed to be and Ultimate guide to Yoga and Mediation, I read this book in hope of getting tips on Yoga and while this book has some exercises to do and follow. I was looking more for in-depth self-help to doing Yoga. It had some great information however, I wished it was more. On the meditation side of the book, it felt more like the history of meditation. It wasn’t what I was looking for in this book. However, the Author did a fantastic job with the writing style and the way the book was presented. In no way was the book bad, just was looking for more yoga information. It was still a great read.
